Every nation has its toys, which reflect social life style, traditions, technical and art achievements. Toys of different nations are similar to each other by construction, form, decoration. It is so because children play not only in luxurious palace but in thatched hut too.
The dolls are a child's toy that personifies a baby or other human being. Dolls have been around since the time immemorial, and were fashioned from different materials - stone, clay, wood, bone, corn husk paper, porcelain.

Carpet weaving is one of the most ancient kinds of decorative and applied arts in Moldova. Archeological excavations showed that weaving has centuries-old history. Carpet weaving developed in leaps and bounds every century. With the lapse of time Moldavians occupied with this handicraft improving their skills. As a rule women devoted themselves to the carpet weaving but men took part only in some preparation work. Weaving skill was appreciated by the common people. Girls apprenticed from 10-11 years old. Carpets were one of the important gifts in the dowry. They signified prosperity and diligence of the future wife.

In Kenya it was decided to sell woodcarvings with a certificate. This certificate is a guarantee that during manufacturing of the handicraft woods the environment was preserved and the deforestation of threatened species of wood was prevented.
This certificate was initiated by the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) in collaboration with the handicraft industry, environmentalists and farming societies. It is presupposed that this certificate is a help-tool for from small farms.

Sarah Symons is the woman that decided to help the young girls in India that were sold into the prostitution trade before they even reach puberty. Sarah decided to help them after she watched the film called The Day My God Died. This is a documentary film about human traffic in general and about young girls in India who are sold into the prostitution trade. They lived in Bombay's dirty brothels, known as "the Cages," and suffer severe physical and sexual abuse. 80% of the girls are infected with the HIV virus – there are as many as 90 new cases every hour.
