Angola and Zimbabwe will collaborate in promotion of cultural tourism and handicraft production

The government of two states signed an agreement to promote such important fields as tourism and handicraft production. This accord of cooperation between these states might encourage economy, tourism and cultural sectors of both states.

Certificate for craftsmen

In Kenya it was decided to sell woodcarvings with a certificate. This certificate is a guarantee that during manufacturing of the handicraft woods the environment was preserved and the deforestation of threatened species of wood was prevented.

This certificate was initiated by the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) in collaboration with the handicraft industry, environmentalists and farming societies. It is presupposed that this certificate is a help-tool for from small farms.

The handicrafts can stop the prostitution among young girls

Sarah Symons is the woman that decided to help the young girls in India that were sold into the prostitution trade before they even reach puberty. Sarah decided to help them after she watched the film called The Day My God Died. This is a documentary film about human traffic in general and about young girls in India who are sold into the prostitution trade. They lived in Bombay's dirty brothels, known as "the Cages," and suffer severe physical and sexual abuse. 80% of the girls are infected with the HIV virus – there are as many as 90 new cases every hour.
